Microdermabrasion Contraindications
- Skin diseases/disorders, hyper-sensitive skin
- Bruising, swelling, acute inflammation
- Avoid any areas with warts, cuts or abrasions
- Recent operations in the concerned areas
- Recent fractures of the concerned areas
- Epilepsy (if not on medication)
- Recent scar tissue
- Tumours or unrecognised lumps
- Neuritis/neuralgia
- Haemophilia
- Any viral infection e.g. flu, lymphatic disorder, eye infections e.g. conjunctivitis, cold sores
- Pacemakers, metal plates/pins in the immediate area for treatment
- Severe asthmatic conditions
- Pregnancy
- Psoriasis
- Roaccutane
- Eczema
- Botox – Treatment can only be given after 8 to 12 weeks
- Dermal fillers – Treatment can be given 8-12 weeks
- Glycolic peels – Wait 3 months
- Chemical peels
Hair Removal Laser Contraindications
- Keloids (coloured or raised scars)
- History of haemorrhaging or excessive bleeding
- Chemical or powder burns
- Tattoos
- Poor blood circulation (heavy legs syndrome)
- During pregnancy
- Taking of photo-sensitising drugs
- Tanning/sun-bathing
- You are on a specific regime of vitamin A and/or carotene
- Anti-acne treatments
- The use of anticoagulants
- Moles
- Herpes
- An evolving skin infection
- An ongoing severe allergic reaction
Microneedling Contraindications
- Active acne
- Herpes labialis or any other local infection such as warts
- Moderate to severe chronic skin disease such as eczema and psoriasis
- Blood dyscrasias, patients on anticoagulant therapy
- Extreme keloidal tendency
- peeling
- Patient on chemo/radiotherapy
- Pregnancy
- Breast Milking
- Patient on below skin problems:
- bleeding
- bruising
- infection (have open wounds)
Carboxy Therapy Contraindications
- Needle phobia
- Stress, with history of vagal unconsciousness event
- Severe heart failure, congestive heart disease
- Recent heart attacks and unstable angina pectoris
- Restrictive pulmonary disease, chronic obstructive lung disease
- Sleep apnea
- Renal failure, dialysis
- Recent cerebrovascular accident
- Uncontrolled blood pressure
- Immunosuppression or deficiency
- Patients with impaired healing
- Connective tissue disorders or diseases
- Bleeding disease: Willebrand’s disorder, hemophilia
- Bacterial infection: dermatitis, cellulitis
- Foreign body in the area to be treated (jewelry or implants)
- Herpes simplex in acute phase and other acute skin viral infections
- Skin disease with abnormally increases local circulation
- Facial rosacea
- Poikiloderma of cavit
- Pregnancy
- Lactation
- Anticoagulation, recent aspirin or anti-inflamatory drug intake
- Other aesthetic procedure or skin traumatism less than 15 days prior treatment

Hifu Therapy Contraindications
- Open wounds or lesions in the treatment area
- Severe or cystic acne in the treatment area
- Active implants (e.g., pacemakers or defibrillators), or metallic implants in the treatment area
- Mechanical implants
- Dermal fillers
- Breast implants
It is recommended that the following areas should be avoided during treatment:
- Thyroid gland, thyroid cartilage and trachea
- Major vessels
- Breast tissue or breast implants The Ulthera System has not been evaluated for use in the following patient populations:
- Pregnant or breast feeding women
- Children
- Those with the following disease states
- A hemorrhagic disorder or hemostatic dysfunction
- An active systemic or local skin disease that may alter wound healing
- Herpes Simplex
- Autoimmune Disease
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
